Andhra’s big investment pitch: All roads lead to CII Partnership Summit in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: After an aggressive campaign to promote Brand Andhra Pradesh, the State Government is expecting a huge response to CII Partnership Summit being held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15, after a gap of seven years. In the $2.4-trillion economy envisaged for Andhra Pradesh as per Vision 2047, Visakhapatnam is projected as the best investment destination mainly after Google inked an MoU with the State Government for an investment of $15 billion on a mega multi-location AI data centre hub in the city.
Aptly the theme finalised for the summit is ‘Technology, trust and trade: Navigating the new geo-economic order.’ This is the 30th sumit being organised by CII pan India.
The Cabinet members and top officials are expecting a mammoth response from the investors. Several roadshows have been held in London, Dubai, Singapore and other places to hard-pitch the invest potential in innovation including AI and e-commerce, port-led development, renewable energy, petrochemicals, food processing industries and other sectors like tourism, real estates, edutech, aviation and defence.
During his recent trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Industries Minister TG Bharat and IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s roadshows in London and Sydney and Melbourne several presentations were made. The roadshows have apprised the prospective investors of the prospects on their investments with Speed of Doing Business as the thrust area of the government in emerging areas like quantum technology, semiconductors, space, drones, electronics, medtech and smart manufacturing.
Naidu, known for maintaining good terms with the industry leadership, has entrusted the CII with the responsibility to guide the government in achieving economic objectives enshrined in Swarnandhra Vision-2047.
CII Andhra Pradesh Chairman Gannamani Murali Krishna exuded confidence that the event this time will be a big hit. In a recent Linkedin post, he said “as Chairman of CII Andhra Pradesh, I am delighted to witness the growing momentum towards hosting the 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025, scheduled for November 14-15, 2025 in Visakhapatnam. In the run-up to this landmark event, Andhra Pradesh has been showcasing its investor confidence and preparedness through a series of dynamic engagements across the country—each reflecting the state’s commitment to creating a world-class business ecosystem.”
On the curtain-raiser held in New Delhi, he said that at the national-level curtain-raiser, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, unveiled Andhra Pradesh’s investment vision under the Swarnandhra Vision 2047.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised the State’s strategic strengths — a long coastline, progressive policies, skilled workforce, and thriving sectors such as logistics, deep technology, aerospace, drones, and electronics.
